Community & Social Impact

Supporting Stronger, Healthier and More Connected Communities

At Saino, we believe that people and families should have access to reliable information, meaningful opportunities, appropriate support and a sense of belonging within their communities.

Our community work focuses on helping people navigate the practical, social and emotional challenges that can arise when settling into life in the UK or experiencing disadvantage, isolation or barriers to accessing services.

Through community education, wellbeing activities, social connection, practical information, signposting and partnership working, we aim to help people build confidence, access appropriate support and participate more fully in their communities.

Why we are here

Our Community Mission

Saino is committed to supporting individuals, families and communities to overcome barriers, build confidence and improve their access to information, opportunities and appropriate support.

We recognise that people's challenges rarely exist in isolation. Immigration and settlement issues can be connected with family pressures, employment, housing, financial difficulties, social isolation, language barriers, digital exclusion and wellbeing. Our approach is therefore centred on the whole person and their circumstances rather than a single issue.

We aim to create accessible opportunities for people to learn, connect, ask questions, find reliable information and be directed towards appropriate specialist support when needed.

Community Navigation

Helping People Find Their Way

Navigating health, education, employment, housing, immigration and community services can be difficult, particularly when someone is unfamiliar with the systems around them.

Saino's community approach is designed to provide a welcoming first point of contact where people can discuss their concerns, understand what options may be available and identify appropriate organisations or services.

We do not seek to replace specialist services. Instead, we help people understand where appropriate support may be available and how to take the next step.

Saino Community Champions

We believe communities are strongest when people within those communities have the confidence and knowledge to support one another.

Saino aims to develop a Community Champions programme through which local volunteers can receive practical training and help people connect with reliable information and community activities.

Community Champions will not provide professional immigration, legal or clinical advice. Their role will be to help people access reliable information, connect with community activities and identify appropriate sources of support.

Training may include
Practical awareness and community engagement skills.
  • Safeguarding awareness
  • Community engagement
  • Wellbeing awareness
  • Digital inclusion
  • Signposting
  • Recognising when specialist support may be required

Our Approach

01

Accessible
We aim to make information and community activities welcoming and accessible.

02

Inclusive
We respect differences in culture, background, ability, language and experience.

03

Person-Centred
We listen to people's circumstances rather than treating every situation in the same way.

04

Evidence-Informed
We aim to understand community needs and use feedback to shape our activities.

05

Collaborative
We believe sustainable community support requires partnership working.

06

Safe & Professional
We maintain appropriate safeguarding, confidentiality, professional boundaries and referral arrangements.

Working Together

Sustainable community support cannot be delivered by one organisation alone.

Saino is committed to developing relationships with community organisations, charities, health and wellbeing services, educational organisations, local services and other partners.

Through collaboration, information sharing, appropriate referrals and joint community activities, we aim to help people access the support that is most appropriate for their circumstances.

Participant satisfaction

Our impact reporting will develop as our community programme grows. We will publish information about our activities, participation and outcomes transparently.

What Our Community Says
This space will share genuine feedback from people who have participated in our community activities as the programme grows.

Only testimonials shared with appropriate consent will be published.

Listening to Our Community

We believe effective community programmes should be shaped by the people they are intended to support.

We therefore seek feedback through community conversations, surveys, focus groups, participant feedback and discussions with community partners.

What we learn helps us decide which activities to develop and where additional support or partnership may be needed.

Building Community Impact

Saino is developing its community programme through partnership, community engagement and appropriate grant and charitable funding.

Funding enables us to develop accessible activities, community education, wellbeing initiatives, volunteer development and outreach for people who may otherwise face barriers to accessing support.

We are committed to using funding responsibly and demonstrating the difference our activities make.

Community Support & Professional Services

Saino provides both community-focused activities and professional consultancy services.

Free community activities are separate from our commercial professional services. Grant funding or other community funding will not be used to subsidise private immigration applications or other commercial services.

Where someone requires specialist immigration advice, legal advice, clinical support or another professional service outside the scope of our community programme, we will provide appropriate information or signposting.
